About Season To Share
The Palm Beach Post launched its annual holiday campaign, Season to Share, in 1995. Each year, on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the paper and Web site tells the stories of more than a dozen struggling families who have been nominated by local charitable organizations. Readers are invited to contribute money, merchandise and services to help them.
From 1995 to 2007, Season To Share featured over 200 families and raised more than $5 million in cash, as well as hundreds of thousands dollars more in goods and services. All of the money was given to 44 sponsoring charities, which used it to help the featured families and many others like them.
All expenses for Season to Share are assumed by The Post. Except for a small carryover amount from year to year, 100% of donations go to the agencies and families. Season to Share is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations made to the Season to Share Fund are tax deductible.
